So how did you find your way to Ithaca and tell me about a fond memory of your time here when you were a kid?
I was born in Toms River, NJ where I lived until I was about nine years old. My family and I moved to Ithaca in the summer of 2001 and have been here ever since. I have a lot of fond memories about the drastic change from Jersey to here. I remember that I was initially against the move but my mind quickly changed when I saw our new house for the first time. I live in a house that is currently over 150 years old and when I first walked into the place that would be my bedroom, I knew it was home.
Tell us about what makes Ithaca such an amazing place to be from?
Ithaca is a great place to call home because it is a place with so much character. It was great to grow up surrounded by both beautiful natural landscapes as well as gorgeous old architecture. Ithaca has such a creative atmosphere that nurtures talented musicians and artists.
Tell us a little bit about what keeps you busy?
I am currently a Broadcast Production student at TC3 and a part time employee at Trader K’s, so that takes up a lot of my free time. When I do get some time for myself, I enjoy painting, photography, music, and movies.
What attracted you to the Beautiful Ithaca project?
I was attracted to the project because I have always had a small interest in modeling and a bigger interest in photography. When I read about the project I thought it was a great idea and I wanted to do what I could to make a fellow artist’s dream a reality. I also thought it would be interesting to try my hand at modeling and reveal the beauty of the city I live in.
What message do you hope to convey in your month?
In my month I hope to portray the beauty that is Ithaca, NY. Summer is my favorite time to be in the tiny city, and I would love to share that appreciation with others.
